Thoughts on DEVIL POSSESSION
Sometimes people hint to me that they think that they are possessed by a devil.
I suppose that they are aware that they are controlled by an evil force that makes them do things that they do not want to do.
When that happens I like to ask them if they think that their Mother or their Father has the same devil. They often say that one of their parents do have the same devil.
If this is so, then the thing that they have got is not a devil at all, but something that they have inherited by no fault of their own.
But it is a devil.
It is a MONSTER that has created a lot of stress within the family. So much stress that all the child wants to do is to escape from the parent and live away from it. It is not that they do not love the parent.
The awful thing is that they will not be able to escape from it, because it will go with them…..in their blood…..in their bones…..in the genes that they were born with. They, in their turn will raise a family and their own children will want to escape from the stress that is in the family caused by the same person that escaped from the situation thirty years before.
Can you understand JESUS when he says these terrible words
"If any man comes to me and hate not his father and his mother, and wife and children, and brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also – he cannot be my disciple." It is not that this great God of Love wants us to hate people, but we have to get rid of the first birth, in order to be free of it. When we enter into the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which we cannot do without hating our first life – the life that we were born with, then we are given a new life, and are free from the bondage of the first. The power of GOD comes in and gets rid of the genes that we are born with and resurrects us with a new life, a new heart and a new spirit...... but we can not have both the old life and the new life. It has to be one or the other. "A new heart will I give you, and a new spirit put within you, and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and give to you a heart of flesh – A NEW HEART"
