The Long Life of the Patriarchs

It is good to understand the effect that the long life of the Patriarchs had.

1. Adam lived to eight generations of his descendants.
2. Adam and Enoch would talk with Methuselah for 243 years.
3. Seth (the third son of Adam) would live in the lives of all the pre-flood sons except Noah.
4. Noah would talk with Methuselah for 600 years.
5. Noah lived and walked with six generations of his forefathers and ten generations of his sons, and could have talked with Abraham for 56 years.
6. Shem outlived Abraham 35 years, and died the same year that Joseph was born.
