The Gospel

The Bible says that "We have to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling". This means that the way I am saved is not necessarily the same way you are saved. I am not allowed to say that what saved me will be the same as what will save you. But it will be a shame if this stops me from singing this song. I hope that you will understand, but more important, I hope that what is written will help you discover the huge power that God has to be God to you.

The word ‘Gospel’ is used so much today, that it is used to mean anything remotely Christian. But Paul tells us that the Gospel of Jesus Christ saves all who believe. This means that if you believe a gospel and it does not save you (from the Devil), then the gospel, which you have believed, is NOT the gospel of Jesus Christ.

It also tells us that if you are not saved (from the Devil) it is not because you have not given your life to God, or given your heart (or your sins) to Jesus. It is because you have not believed something that is good and right and proper.

You are believing a lie.

When you believe the gospel of Jesus Christ then immediately, you will see the devil fall, dead, beneath your feet and he will no longer be in your heart.

This is a salvation by faith….by believing the right stuff.

We can believe many good things and still not believe the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jesus came to change our hearts.
This means that He will change what we want to do. Originally we want evil, but then Jesus comes and we want good.

This is amazing. Jesus comes and we don’t want to do what we did want to do before,
but we have to want him to change our fascination for sin.
"I want to sin…and sin will destroy me, so come into my heart Lord Jesus, and change what I want".

That is what happens with all Christians.

No one can condemn you because is happens to us all.

My understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ is this,

and as soon as you believe it, you will be saved from the devil………..

When Jesus Christ died….Everything that I was born with and everything that I have got since, (both bad and good)……DIED…….and when Jesus Christ rose from the grave I became a new creation.

If you are oppressed by the devil, try shouting that at the devil and he will collapse before your words.

Any time you want to you can overcome the devil. You will always do it by the blood of the lamb and by the word of your testimony. (Two things that when mixed together will create the dynamite that will blow the devil to bits).

The blood of the lamb has been shed for every man, woman and child but it needs the right testimony.

You must be willing to get rid of your entire self, both bad and good and be Born Again in the same body. Trying to just get rid of every bad thing and keeping the good stuff, your gifts and graces, femininity or masculinity, will NOT work.

Everything that you were born with and everything that you have acquired since must die to get this pearl of great price.

It is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
He has done everything He can….It is down to you.
If you wait for God to move….You will wait forever, for He has done everything He can to save you.

Are you fed-up with yourself? Then put yourself upon the cross of Jesus Christ and die – by claiming what Jesus did for you at Calvary. God can give you a new heart, and a new spirit.

He can save you from the devil….NOW.
