Prophecy

I do not get prophecy from God in English, or in any language.
It drops into my heart in an instant, and I have to express it into English.

Expressing the pure word of God into English that retains its purity is quite hard. Not only does it require a good command of English words, but fears and doctrines can come in to spoil it. It does help to not say the prophecy immediately, but to sleep on it and say it at the next meeting.
I never get God taking over, and using my mouth, as in a semi-trance. It is always through my spirit.

Sometimes people can prophecy and it is so cluttered up with other things, embarassment, self conciousness, doctorines, a desire to please the Church by saying the right things - - that it is very hard for the original word of God to be seen, and some people might judge, and think that it is all 'made up'. But it isn't - - Well - Not all of it.

I have learnt the hard way NEVER to ask God for a prophecy. Sometimes I would really love to give a God-given prophecy to a person to encourage him on his way, and the temptation to ask God for a prophecy is strong. But I must not. If I ask God for a prophecy the words that seem to come back, (apparently from God), are full of half-truths, and can be psychic. If I speak them they have always been wrong. I have felt embarrased when I say a wrong prophecy.
The way I get a God-given prophecy is to go about my day, worshipping God, and living in the normal daily life, and if / when He wants to give me a prohecy it drops into my heart unexpectedly.
He wants me not to live for glory or fame. He is very firm on that, because I naturally, want to be successful and famous, but that is a false hope. God only honours JESUS. We can be part of that, but it is JESUS, only JESUS.
