Roman Catholics and Protestants

When my wife went to Bangladesh to help with famine relief in the 1970’s she said that she had much more ‘fellowship’ with two Catholic Nuns than with two Protestant (overburdened) Missionaries.

I saw Mother Teresa of Calcutta, (on the television), and think that she was a tremendous example to us all.

I have met Roman Catholic Fathers who are just as much in my Church, (in their heart), as any God loving Protestant.

Jesus said - - by their FRUITS you shall know them.

Can’t we believe that here ?

Both Protestant and Roman Catholic Churches have their bad examples. ‘Several (anti-Catholic) Orange Lodge Protestant Churches, here in Liverpool, seem so full of hate. It shows so clearly on their faces.

Some Protestants say that the Roman Catholics preach another Gospel, but so do some of us Protestants.

Wrong teaching and heresy can come into any Church.

Ok - - there are things in the Roman Catholic Church that are wrong, but these are minor things, and not many Roman Catholics believe them, although they want to. Provided the basics are right, (which they are in some Roman Catholic and Protestant Churches), then both Roman Catholics and Protestants in these churches will come into the place where God wants them.

There are bad examples in both Churches.

If you are still ‘Anti-Catholic, do read ‘John Wesley’s Letter to a Roman Catholic’ and I am sure God will soften your heart.

"By their FRUITS you shall know them."
